Since the beginning of October the Solaris Urbino 12 Hybrid has been tested in real traffic conditions in Osijek, Croatia. – It is a beginning of our intent to try and test new transport technologies in order to be best prepared for the upcoming fleet development – says Mario Šapina, GPP Osijek chief manager.
Solaris Urbino 12 Hybrid is a 12-metre low-floor city bus equipped with state-of-the-art BAE driveline combining Diesel and electric motors. It is one of the newest Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. alternative drive solutions.
The vehicle has been tested on all bus lines in different traffic conditions. GPP Osijek’s drivers and passengers are delighted with it.
– I have experience with many different buses, the old and the new ones, but this is one is unique. (…) I think that passengers really enjoy it – says Domagoj Varga, one of the GPP Osijek’s drivers who has been participating in the tests. – Passengers are very satisfied. The bus is comfortable, well equipped and it’s easier to drive – adds his colleague Jerko Žeravica.
